WJTL grows ministry with national funding

For over two decades, WJTL has been connecting with young adults in Lancaster-York-Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Lancaster's first all contemporary Christian music radio station now attracts over 100,000 listeners per week.

Even with the gracious giving of WJTL's audience, station leadership has a large and growing vision for reaching Central Pennsylvania so they initiated local business development.

Small staff has big responsibilty

Like most listener-supported stations, station employees wear multiple hats.  At WJTL, the local business development representative also directs station promotions and major donor interactions.  WJTL, also like most listener-supported stations, had challenges with turnover at this key position.

The challenge: Station continuity

WJTL Road CrewWhen a radio station loses a business development representative, income normally begins to decline.  WJTL felt this experience.

The solution for WJTL

WJTL desired a way to both persify its income and not be so reliant on the continuous service at the business development position.  WJTL discovered national business development and became the first station to join Advocace National Representation.

The results

Since joining Advocace, WJTL is receiving new income from national business development and is enjoying the continuity of Advocace's presence at prospective business partners from coast to coast.
