You hang up the phone after yet another brush off from a major donor dodging, or rejecting, your request for an in-person meeting.
Even though you may not be able to do anything about the donor’s situation, you can:
- be better prepared
- do your homework
- be excited about the opportunity
- make them feel valued
- focus on your organization’s vision rather than your immediate need
